Jerry Seinfeld is the show’s center of gravity: a comedian playing a comedian named Jerry Seinfeld, in an apartment the whole series orbits. The voice of reason next to George, Elaine, and Kramer — though “reason” here includes breaking up with women over how they eat peas. The only main character who keeps his job all nine seasons, if you don’t count the bootlegging. Legendarily neat. Hates Newman.
