Often I sit and yearn

Kramer – “Often I sit and yearn.”

KRAMER (moves over and sits next to George): Do you ever yearn?
GEORGE: Yearn? Do I yearn?
KRAMER: I yearn.
GEORGE: You yearn.
KRAMER: Oh, yes. Yes, I yearn. Often, I…I sit…and yearn. Have you yearned?
GEORGE: Well, not recently. I craved. I crave all the time, constant craving…but I haven’t yearned.
KRAMER (in disgust): Look at you.
GEORGE: Aw, Kramer, don’t start…
KRAMER (moving back to the othe side of the booth): You’re wasting your life.

Who is Kramer?

Cosmo Kramer (Michael Richards) is the neighbor whose entrances arrive before he does. Schemer, dabbler, co-inventor of the Bro. His first name stayed a secret for six seasons until George pried it out of his mother — even Jerry didn’t know. Based on Kenny Kramer, Larry David’s real-life neighbor, who hadn’t yet signed off when the pilot shot — so in “The Seinfeld Chronicles,” he’s “Kessler.”
